This paper analyses Roman Polanski's advertising short film "A therapy" (2012), which is set in an analyst's consultin room at the beginning of a session. The authors discuss the formal and narrative characteristics of the film, which offers a perspicacious description of a clinical impasse due to the formation of a fetishistic attitude in the analyst towards a female patient's fur coat (the subject of the advertisement). Being so short, the film lend itself to detailed study by interpretative observation of its various relational and expressive aspects.
