A measurement of the gluon structure function using direct photon events with the UA2 detector at the CERN p-antip collider is presented. The results are in good agreement with the gluon distributions measured in the DIS experiments extrapolated to UA2 energies.

Abstract

A measurement of the gluon structure function using direct photon events with the UA2 detector at the CERN p-antip collider is presented. The results are in good agreement with the gluon distributions measured in the DIS experiments extrapolated to UA2 energies.
