By interlocking the perspectives of organization studies and international entrepreneurship research on routines and learning, this study seeks to develop a dynamic viewpoint on how learning affects internationalization routines and the entrepreneurial orientation of the firm in the context of its international growth. We develop four in-depth case studies of Italian firms of the hi-tech industry and provide evidence that international entrepreneurial orientation and routines can be both recursively affected by experiential internationalization knowledge.

Abstract

By interlocking the perspectives of organization studies and international entrepreneurship research on routines and learning, this study seeks to develop a dynamic viewpoint on how learning affects internationalization routines and the entrepreneurial orientation of the firm in the context of its international growth. We develop four in-depth case studies of Italian firms of the hi-tech industry and provide evidence that international entrepreneurial orientation and routines can be both recursively affected by experiential internationalization knowledge.
