This paper aims to offer ideas, both for methodological approaches and for prac-tical solutions, concerning the improvement of the accessibility and the inclusive enhancing of the historical heritage, considered as a necessary condition for its preservation. According to these principles, it is essential to study the heritage conservation taking into account as many users and visitors as possible, including people with mobility and sensory impairments and people with special needs. In particular, here is presented one of the projects developed in the “Winter School in Accessibility with ThyssenKrupp Encasa”, an intensive school organized by the University of Pavia in collaboration with ThyssenKrupp Encasa, concerning the design of architectural solutions to improve the accessibility of Palazzo San Felice, one of the historical buildings of the University of Pavia.
