This work describes a method for the quality control of PET bottles manufactured with the Injection stretch blow molding process. The method uses two different procedures: the first is based on the analysis of images of the lower part and of the lateral part of the bottle; the second is based on the absorption of infra-red radiation in order to estimate the bottle thickness.
