A quasi-cw diode-end-pumped Nd:Yag laser is mode-locked by a nonlinear mirror system and stabilized with an acousto-optical modulator. After several amplification and frequency doubling stages, the amplified and frequency doubled pulse train is used to sinchronously pump an optical parametric oscillator. A wide tuning range from visible to infrared is demonstrated.

Abstract
