Abstract
The goal of improving the energy behaviour of the built environment concerns a multi-disciplinary issue, which requires the activation of innovative tools for the information management, with the aim of address and achieve integrated building processes. In this field, the opportunities arising from the use of information modeling are aligned with National and Community regulations, which involve increasingly the adoption of methodologies and systems to support the decision making. Those arguments fit in the framework of the latest EU directives on energy saving and emission reduction which introduce a life-cycle comparative evaluation methodology based on optimization for the ranking of different project scenarios. The research presented here proposes a semi-automated process for the implementation of the cost-optimal approach within BIM-based building processes. In particular, the application to Palazzo Botta (Pavia, Italy) is presented by focusing on the energy saving measures taken within the framework of an adaptive reuse project.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
