The valorisation of the museum’s heritage in the creation of a modern exhibition path. Among the great cultural heritage of Pavia, the Natural History Museum of the University founded in 1771 by Lazzaro Spallanzani is on of the main ones. In the last few decades the collections have been fully restored with the aim of creating new museum exhibitions that represent an added value for the entire city of Pavia. The University has obtained funds and identified appropriate spaces within Palazzo Botta to host the museum, but it was necessary to transform the ancient scientific and educational collections, organized with the strict systematic criteria of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, into a museological display adapted to the expectations of the contemporary audience. We chose to adopt the idea of scientific voyage as a storyline criterion of the exhibition. Directly connected to this concept is the development of natural history over last three centuries, with the researches of Carl von Linné, Alexander von Humboldt, Georges Cuvier and Charles Darwin.

Abstract
Directly connected to this concept is the development of natural history over last three centuries, with the researches of Carl von Linné, Alexander von Humboldt, Georges Cuvier and Charles Darwin.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
