We present a MOPA laser system able to provide 250 mJ at 1064 nm in a well shaped rectangular envelope 500-ns long, containing ≈2500 mode-locking pulses at 5 GHz repetition rate. Efficient SHG of the picosecond pulses allowed obtaining 40 mJ at 750-850 nm from a synchronously pumped OPO cavity.

Abstract
