The zoning of landslide susceptibility consists of inventory of landslides occurred in the past and of identification of the areas where the landsliding could occur in the future. The results of susceptibility analysis allow to provide suggestions on the areas where active or passive protection measures are necessary to preserve the elements at risk. The zoning can be performed at regional, local or site scale by means of susceptibility descriptors. The results of these analyses can be used to draw the landslide susceptibility charts. The paper presents a procedure to evaluate the susceptibility of an area affected by rapid flowslides. In particular, the procedure has been applied to a zone placed between Scilla and Favazzina regularly and historically involved by weather-induced flowslides and sometimes by earthquake-induced landslides.
