This contribution analyses the aspects related to the documentation and diagnostics of the Castiglioni Chapel in Pavia in relation to the activation of monitoring tools, as a prerequisite for conscious conservation, enhancement, and reuse interventions on built asset. The activation of the documentation and integral survey process of CH allows you to be aware of what the environment offers, including the residual services provided by the building necessary for the reuse project. The spatial and material analysis of the existing state must therefore be accompanied by the material, technological, integrated, and systematic survey. In the case study of the Castiglioni Chapel in Pavia, the various diagnostic outputs are associated with the documentation ones, with the aim of structuring a knowledge base on which to plan interventions for the site conservation project. Conservation takes place both with physical actions, museumization processes and analyses carried out are integrated into an immersive virtual system structured by levels and scenarios. The digital copy of the chapel can be orbited on three-dimensional viewing platforms that allow you to enhance the valuable aspects, observe the different levels of analysis in real time or the construction aspects based on the type of user. The goal is to activate the starting point for planning and scheduling processes for the conservation of the asset by aggregating the diagnostic and knowledge phases of the product in a single digital informative system.
