Generalizing Karoubi's multiplicative K-theory and multiplicative cohomology groups for smooth manifolds we define secondary theories and characteristic classes for smooth kale groupoids. As special cases we obtain versions of the groups of differential characters for smooth kale groupoids and for orbifolds.
