Aim of this study is a SEM comparison and roughness measurement of dental surfaces after finishing and polishing with three different methods by using high-speed or multiplying handpieces. A sample of 60 healthy bicuspids extracted for orthodontic reason were randomly divided in six groups before being prepared by three different ; methods of finishing and polishing with high-speed or multiplying handpiece. After that the samples were prepared for the observation under SEM and for measurement by a roughness gauge, All the samples have been photographed to describe their surface morphology by several parameters (RA, Rmax, Rpm, Wt). From the morphological surface examination, it appears that the choice of different methods has a Absfyact Tooth surface roughness following preparation by high-speed or multipty'mg handlpeece: a SEM study
