Silicon Photonics represents a well-established technology to develop high-data-rate devices and complex circuitries for a variety of applications [1]. One of the main challenges in the development of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) remains the integration of optical sources with high frequency stability, suited for frontier applications such as those related to the THz wave generation, Tbs communications and basic-science experiment settings [2]. Semiconductor lasers represent a consolidated choice for source integration in PICs and might provide a credible route for the generation of THz and 6G signals for future communications, via beating-based schematics [3]. Frequency stabilization of such devices, via integrated components, is a critical task to go towards this route.
