This paper presents a systematic design methodology for input-series-output-parallel (ISOP) LLC resonant converters. A genetic algorithm (GA) is employed to optimize key design parameters, including the number of modules, switching frequency, and transformer characteristics. The optimization process simultaneously considers semiconductor and transformer power losses, as well as total transformer volume, as objective functions. The proposed approach provides a flexible design space, enabling tailored solutions based on efficiency or size constraints.

Abstract

This paper presents a systematic design methodology for input-series-output-parallel (ISOP) LLC resonant converters. A genetic algorithm (GA) is employed to optimize key design parameters, including the number of modules, switching frequency, and transformer characteristics. The optimization process simultaneously considers semiconductor and transformer power losses, as well as total transformer volume, as objective functions. The proposed approach provides a flexible design space, enabling tailored solutions based on efficiency or size constraints.
