This contribution describes a recent experimental study of the A(K−stop, π±Σ∓)A' reaction on light nuclei, 6,7Li, 9Be, 13C and 16O. Final π±Σ∓ pairs arise from π+π−n events. For some nuclei, the π+ momentum spectrum presents peak-strucures in the kinematical interval of formation of Σ-hypernuclear states. The apparatus used for the investigation is the FINUDA spectrometer set at DAΦNE.

Abstract

This contribution describes a recent experimental study of the A(K−stop, π±Σ∓)A' reaction on light nuclei, 6,7Li, 9Be, 13C and 16O. Final π±Σ∓ pairs arise from π+π−n events. For some nuclei, the π+ momentum spectrum presents peak-strucures in the kinematical interval of formation of Σ-hypernuclear states. The apparatus used for the investigation is the FINUDA spectrometer set at DAΦNE.
