The authors have assembled and programmed wireless control unit receiving real time feedbacks from the sensors and elaborating the consequent control signal to drive the actuator(s). The actuator needs to be powered and the controller is wireless in the sense that it receives the sensor signals without wires, but it is wired in the sense that it is powered by wire. Thus the focus only is on the power management for the sensor units which should be adaptable to different kind of sensor prescriptions in terms of voltage and power consumption. In this paper the power management is optimized for three kinds of accelerometers, a load cell and a laser non contact displacement sensor. The power is assumed to be provided by a power harvesting solution whose energy is stored in a capacitor.
