We present the findings of an online survey on Cloud Computing (CC), that integrates a previous systematic literature review. While the literature review analyzes the state of CC research in academy, the survey considers issues and practices in the real world of companies and specifically focuses the delivery, deployment and management profile of CC in user companies. The survey has targeted 39 user companies across the world, with a strong presence of telecommunications and media. The main novelty of our framework is the focus on Service Level Management, that is neglected by previous surveys. Findings show a generally positive attitude of user companies toward CC, but also a general lack of specific and adequate frameworks for Security and Service Level that respond to the corresponding main concerns of users.

Abstract
We present the findings of an online survey on Cloud Computing (CC), that integrates a previous systematic literature review. While the literature review analyzes the state of CC research in academy, the survey considers issues and practices in the real world of companies and specifically focuses the delivery, deployment and management profile of CC in user companies. The survey has targeted 39 user companies across the world, with a strong presence of telecommunications and media. The main novelty of our framework is the focus on Service Level Management, that is neglected by previous surveys. Findings show a generally positive attitude of user companies toward CC, but also a general lack of specific and adequate frameworks for Security and Service Level that respond to the corresponding main concerns of users.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
