The use of intravenous laser in the treatment of infe- rior limbs varicose veins ifs a very recent techniqueJn fact the PDA approved this procedure in 2001. This methodical uses a diode laser, which generates a light laser with a specific wavelength which reaches into the vein by a catheter guides .The energy laser determines a fotocoagulation of the vessel wall ,which causes an obliteration of the venous lume. The duration of the surgical procedure is reduced regarding the traditional surgery, with the minimal uneasiness for the patient who can return quickly to its normal daily activities. The post-operative complications are smaller (infec- tions, paraesthesias, hematoma) and better aesthetic results. Our results reflect the international and natio- nal trials.
