The emergence and spread of M. tuberculosis multidrug-resistant (MDR-TB), extensively drug-resistant (XDR-TB) and, more recently, totally drug-resistant (TDR) strains is a an extremely dangerous threat to public health, in particular to immunocompromised patients. Hence, there is a great need for new drugs that provide shorter, safer, cheaper and more effective treatment alternatives for active and latent TB infection, MDR and XDR-TB, and that have minimal interactions with antiretroviral drugs.

Abstract
The emergence and spread of M. tuberculosis multidrug-resistant (MDR-TB), extensively drug-resistant (XDR-TB) and, more recently, totally drug-resistant (TDR) strains is a an extremely dangerous threat to public health, in particular to immunocompromised patients. Hence, there is a great need for new drugs that provide shorter, safer, cheaper and more effective treatment alternatives for active and latent TB infection, MDR and XDR-TB, and that have minimal interactions with antiretroviral drugs.File in questo prodotto:
