Favoring communication and collaboration among firms and their stakeholders, the online communities become an important way to support the development of innovative ideas through social interactions. We have selected a representative case study of a multinational firm that exploits an online community to nurture its innovation process. The analysis is made exploiting the theoretical approach of open innovation and absorptive capacity.
