Abstract
Low frequency electromagnetic field (LF-EMF) assays were developed to increase the clearance capability of neurotoxic beta-amyliod peptides in vitro. Specifically, LF-EMF activates endogenous autophagic pro-survival effects resulting in the autophagosome engulfment of the toxic protein aggregates. These results might address novel therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases.File in questo prodotto:
