This paper presents the potentialities of a material based on chalk powder, 3D-printed via the binder jetting technology, to realize non-radiative dielectric (NRD) devices. As a first step, the electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal properties of the material itself are investigated. Subsequently, to validate the manufacturing procedure and the characterization of the material, a test case demonstrator of a (NRD)-guide prototype in Ku-band has been designed, realized and experimentally validated. Moreover, an additional device, a 3-port junction power divider has been proposed and measured.

Abstract
This paper presents the potentialities of a material based on chalk powder, 3D-printed via the binder jetting technology, to realize non-radiative dielectric (NRD) devices. As a first step, the electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal properties of the material itself are investigated. Subsequently, to validate the manufacturing procedure and the characterization of the material, a test case demonstrator of a (NRD)-guide prototype in Ku-band has been designed, realized and experimentally validated. Moreover, an additional device, a 3-port junction power divider has been proposed and measured.File in questo prodotto:
