Chalk powder for 3D printing by binder jetting as a novel material for microwave devices is proposed. The electromagnetic and mechanical properties of the chalk powder exhibit an interesting potential for microwave and mm-wave applications, with particular regard to situations where thermally stable mechanical properties are important. A non-radiative dielectric (NRD)-guide in Ku-band is fabricated and measured as test case demonstrator, showing a good agreement between theoretical and experimental results.

Abstract
Chalk powder for 3D printing by binder jetting as a novel material for microwave devices is proposed. The electromagnetic and mechanical properties of the chalk powder exhibit an interesting potential for microwave and mm-wave applications, with particular regard to situations where thermally stable mechanical properties are important. A non-radiative dielectric (NRD)-guide in Ku-band is fabricated and measured as test case demonstrator, showing a good agreement between theoretical and experimental results.File in questo prodotto:
