Library searching performance of SISCOM, an interpretative method, is compared against that of two well known retrieval systems, INCOS and PBM. SISCOM is a program in the Masslib system. Mass spectral data are obtained using a Finnigan INCOS (DG-NOVA 4X) data system and directly transferred to the other computers (PCs and μVAX) linked in a network. Data are transmitted in EPA format and locally converted to the required ones.
