Abstract
This paper demonstrates an FMCW radar system operating in the 6-14 GHz frequency range suitable for breast cancer detection. The transceiver and the LO generation are realized using off-the-shelf components assembled on two printed circuit boards. We verify the functionality of the system by radar measurements on a metal plate in a medium that replicates the dielectric properties of breast tissue. The range resolution for the measurements is less than 1 cm, Compared to the state of the art, no expensive RF laboratory equipment is required for the entire measurement setup.File in questo prodotto:
